The fourth annual Cortez Burst Triathlon will take place in Cortez, Colorado on July 4th, 2013.  The race is a fundraiser for Friends of Recreation for a Healthy Community, an organization that promotes healthy living by assisting people in our community that need financial aid to obtain access to fitness related activities, including access to the Cortez Recreation Center.

About the Area

Cortez is located in the Southwestern corner of Colorado.  It is in the heart of the four corners area and provides ample opportunities for recreation and fun for the whole family!  The Four Corners Monument and Mesa Verde National Park are just two of the many area attractions.  The City of Cortez puts on a wonderful fireworks show on the 4th of July - so come race in the morning and enjoy the fireworks in Parque de Vida in the evening!
